This apartment has been designed with warmth and comfort in mind. The interior is on one level and there’s plenty of room to relax once you’ve arrived.
The kitchen overlooks the front garden with ever-changing views of the fells. It has a dining table and is fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge freezer, induction hob + oven, microwave and all the equipment needed to enjoy cooking and dining after a lovely day out. Wonderfully warm with plenty of daylight, this is a pleasant room to begin the day with a leisurely breakfast. Enjoy the complementary local food supplied and sample our own blend of fine coffee or tea.
The adjacent lounge has an attractive outlook towards the Pennines and a feature fireplace for cosy evenings in; beautifully comfortable leather furniture with footstools encourage you to relax completely. Enjoy the quality LCD tv or try one of our board games. A selection of books, magazines and visitor leaflets can be found in the property. Free WiFi included.
Both the bedrooms on the ground floor are furnished with solid English furniture. The soft furnishings have been individually tailored for each room and bedding is quality cotton or linen with the softest pillows. The spacious master bedroom has a large king size bed with a deep Hypnos mattress for comfort. The second bedroom has a king size bed with a cherry wood dresser/desk and William Morris soft furnishings. The bathroom with bath and shower provides everything you need including towels and toiletries.

The apartment has its own private hedged garden with room to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine or just watch the birds. There is private parking for two cars outside the entrance. The property is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by walks of all kinds. Alston is on the C2C cycleway and the apartment is close to the Pennine Way and several other national trail routes. See the Out and About section for full details. It is a short and pleasant stroll into the village which has all the facilities you might need during your stay including a Tourist Information Centre, garages with taxi services, pharmacy, cashpoint (at Spar) and a post office with a sweet shop. There are places to eat out including pubs and hotels with restaurants, a bakery/bistro, and cafes with takeaway options. For self catering there are two supermarkets, a butcher (within Spar), artisan baker and a wholefood shop with delicatessen. Alston has local craft and gift shops and from time to time pop-up artist exhibitions and craft markets are held in the church and town hall.
The Town Hall hosts occasional entertainment such as local touring theatre and film club. There’s a popular steam railway at Town Foot – South Tynedale Railway.
