Really enjoyed our week and would definitely return and recommend the apartment. Beds very comfortable. Location quiet. Enjoyed the lovely local walks from the door and the real ale pubs.

The location is fab. Gorgeous views and a good base to explore near and far.
We highly recommend the apartment. Extremely comfortable beds, lovely big table, well equipped kitchen. The village is lovely too. We had great fish and chips on Friday and we’re about to go out to one of the many cafes. Overall we really enjoyed the break, our first this year.

Perfect location! Excellent, homely apartment which was exceptionally clean. Amazing location with the most perfect drives to the Lake District. Could not fault this apartment in any way.

2018
A friend and I spent 4 adventure-packed summer days based at Apt. No. 6. We managed to drive and motorcycle the spectacular moor road the A686 (voted a top 10 best drive in the world by the AA). We saw three waterfalls, two red squirrels at close quarters, went fly fishing, explored Hadrian’s Wall and tested the local sausages and ale. I would recommend Apt. No. 6 as a base, it comfortably enabled us to fit in many activities and local attractions in a short break.
The views have been amazing and the apartment very homely and relaxing.
Perfectly situated for us, every day was filled. The apartment was lovely and quiet and Alston was very friendly.
